Secrets Do Make Friends....

Hey girl heyy loyal Stay Blonde Ski Local readers! I'm Tami and I blog over at Friday Morning Buzz. Today Kaylin and I decided to share stories about our "secrets". Well, you might not know this about me--in fact, if you're reading this, you might not know me at all. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Tami, and I'm a total basket case.

Struggle bus. Front row.
You see, from the outside, I kiiiind of look like I have my shit together. I have a full-time big girl job (just got a new one, in fact). I take care of a rambunctious pup, two very particular felines, and one lovable piece of work I call a boyfriend. Most days I show up on time, get my recommended four servings of vegetables, and sometimes even put a few miles on my running shoes. But most of the time, under it all, I'm one hot ass mess.

Exhibit A: We're going out to dinner on a Friday night. Should be a blast, right? Wrong. I want Mexican. John wants BBQ (again). We go back and forth for a few minutes, and he gives in. Great, right?! Wrong again. Why don't we just do BBQ like you wanted, babe? Actually, I really don't want pulled pork again. I really want soft tacos. But, no, it's your turn to choose. But I reallllly want tacos!

What should be a mindless decision turns into a long, drawn out, torturous affair to which my boyfriend finally throws his hand up in the air says something like 'What do you WANT me to say right now?!'

The truth is, I have no idea. I really don't.

Take another example, after my first day of work earlier this week. The day had gone smoothly--perfectly, even. But when I got home, I just started to fall apart. Our landlord was there waiting at the door, wanting to get inside with a bunch of gear to finish painting a wall. The dog was jumping around like an utter madman, as if my calves had suddenly turned into juicy steaks he needed to devour immediately. The phone was blowing up with calls from my mom, John, and friends, checking in to see how my first day went. To top it all off, when I reached in the fridge to grab the ice cold beer I'd been dreaming about all day, the Landshark box was empty.

And I just lost it. Right there in the living room of our rental house, apropos of nothing at all catastrophic, I broke down in tears. Who does that? I do.

Is this a cry for help? Maybe. But more likely it's me looking for a little validation, for someone to throw back all the crazy I'm putting out there there and tell me I'm not the only one who will go to the mall, buy something, get home, decide I hate what I bought, go back to return it, and decide to keep the damn thing after all. Men are right. Women are crazy. Or maybe it's just me.

So that's my secret. Under this put-together office ensemble is a raving lunatic who spent fifteen minutes looking for her car keys and also probably forgot to put on deodorant. You're welcome.

If you're a little cray cray too, you can read more of my antics here.

Why Life Would be Better as a Dog

Happy Mondays ladies. I hope all you Mom's had a great mothers day.
I made breakfast for my Mom (well parents, but in honor of Mom), and I burnt the muffins.
I don't want to talk about it, it's a sensitive topic, anyways.

If you're visiting from Two Thirds Hazel, welcome, please stay a while.

If you haven't been over there yet today, check it out.
You'll see my dog being a bad ass, and jumping off a diving board.  In case you're in a hurry, and you can't click over there right now, here's proof.

And this week we taught her doggie 'scuba'. NBD.

Anyways that's just what I've been doing in my spare time, teaching my dogs useless tricks that keep me entertained, now if only camp had taught her to empty the dishwasher, and pick up her own schadoobies.
...that'd be the day...
BUT. That's not what this post is all about, so easily distracted I tell you.

Last week I gave you a few random facts about me, now I am going to tell you why life would be better as a dog.

Everyone Would Love Me
Try to resist a dog, I'd love for you to try.  It's basically impossible. This is just not the case in people world, specifically girl world.  We can't win 'em all.  I mean I'd love to think that people either like me or love me, but I know that's not the case, call me a realist.
If I were a dog, you'd all love me, no questions asked.

I'd Never Get Tired Running
Zoey can run FOREVER without getting tired. I need this in my life. I'd be so fit and trim if this were the case, damn it must be nice Zoey.

Cuddling Would be One of my Main Activities
If you tell me you don't like cuddling, I'd probably ask what was wrong with you?  I personally love cuddling, and cuddle with Zoey as much as I can.  Basically my dog gets more cuddles (from me and my boyfriend) than anyone or animal I know, and at times I am jealous of her. Bottom line, I want all the cuddles she gets.

Mood Swings Wouldn't Exist
Dogs are Zoey is happy ALL the TIME. (I know all dogs are happy all the time, but this post is mostly about how awesome my doggie is.)
Cute-ness Would Come Naturally
I have to work to be cute, this shouldn't come as a shock to you, these outfits don't just make themselves, contrary to popular belief.  Zoey is cute all the time, all day every day.
How could you not love this face.

And I rest my case, life would clearly be easier as a dog...

A Note, A Page, and a Guest

The Note(s)
So the past three days, I've been listening to 'Forever21 music' AKA the new Tegan and Sara album.
It's pretty much flawless.
If you haven't heard it, listen to my favorite track here.
And the reason I call it F21 music is because it is very much the type of music you'd hear if you were shopping there.  Have you ever realized it's never quiet in there??? I'm sure you have...
Although sometimes I think silence might make those bright colors and skinny mannequins more bearable.

The Book
Anyways,
I finished the book, I Suck at Girls last week.

via
It was freaking hilarious. Like I laughed out loud too many times to count funny.
The stories that Justin told from his life were such simple anedotes of exactly what I would think growing up as a boy would be like, if you had Tosh as a Dad.

I won't ruin if for you, you can't really ruin a book that has no true 'end' or 'what happens' because it's just stories from his life.  But with a Dad with a dry and synical sense of humor the teenage experiences and learning of life lessons are more comical.

I read chapters in what seemed to be minutes, and it was as if I blinked and the book was gone.  One of those books that was effortless to read, and hilarious to think about.
If you're looking for an easy read and a good laugh, I would recommend this.

The Guest: Brianne
Anyways I was browsing though news blogs the other day and found Brianne.
Yup, it might be love at first blog. Or love as first sight, but I was so excited to have met her, in some sort of way.  We're not blog friends!

Hi everyone! I’m Brianne, and can be found over at Being Bracco!
I was so excited when Kaylin asked me to come over and visit in her house of blog!  I’ve been stalking reading Kaylin’s blog for quite some time now and am so thrilled to have become blogging buds.  We both are California girls and she pretty much had me at her first post of leopard.  Is this girl’s style amazing or what?!  Be sure to come on over to my neck of the woods tomorrow to check out Kaylin’s awesome visit!
Oh, sorry, I guess I might be going on too much about my “leopard lova”…so I’ll touch on a little tid bit about myself…
I am 25 years old and celebrating 1 year, this Saturday, of a life with a new last name.  My hubby and I are enjoying the adventures of being new homeowners and raising a now 4 month old pup, Bella, and her sister, Lacey “the furry pants”, cat.  With the new home, I have taken a liking to home décor and DIY projects. (Let’s just say my Pinterest boards are over flowing with ideas).  I also enjoy opening myself to new styles and not being afraid to try new trends I tend to like.

Gotta get in the look away fashionista pose..

I seriously adore these green skinny jeans… I just want to continue to grow my colored skinny jean collection...And for $10 at TJ Maxx?? I couldn't pass them up!

Not the most over produced, fancy pictures, but I enjoy sharing the trends I love.  I love sharing a lot of things actually…. So I hope you stop by over at Being Bracco sometime to see what new happenings are going on over there!

A huge thank you to Kaylin for having me over today! :)

And what I want to say is thankyou for guest posting!!!
Isn't she FABULOUS!!!

Peek-A-Boo and A Birthday

So today, I'm over here.
Stop by, and read about my New Years resolution.
Better late than never, right??
But for those new comers, welcome!!!
Thanks for stopping by.

(but who isn't these days???)

Oh, you were wondering where I got my dress,
you would know, if you were over here.

Anyways, we celebrated my boyfriends birthday night before last.
And every single year I am underwhelmed with the specialness that I bring to this day.
I feel disappointed in myself, which is the worst kind of disappointment, if you know what I mean.

Although we didn't do anything special, I am happy that he was perfectly happy
staying home, watching Criminal Minds, eating take out from our favorite Chinese food in bed restaurant in bed, and finishing it up with his 'homemade' box funfetti birthday cake (hey, it's his favorite) in bed.  Is it wrong of me to think that sometimes these are the most enjoyable of evenings??? (I'm living by my resolution, you can read it here)

I loved it, and hope he did too.
We're going out with this family tonight, which should feel more birthday- esq.
We might even get super official, sing Happy Birthday, and have candles to blow out.
Yeah, we're pretty fancy.

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you stick around for lots more fun!!

My Girl Crush

Happy Wednesday Ladies!!!
I am sOOOO excited to be hosting one of my blogrushes (get it, blog-crush) today.
She's pretty much FAbulOuS, and she totally rocked out this post while in the middle of her busiest months, shes a smarty pants Tax Accountant.
Anyways if you haven't met her already, here she is.
Go stalk her now!!!

Hey y'all, I'm Sarah! You can find me over at Tucker Up!

Kaylin is amazing for asking me to hop on over here to her little piece of the internet. I have been reading Kaylin's blog for months now and am so happy that we have become bloggy-buddies! The blog world is so fun, and welcoming! Thanks Kaylin for having me over, and be sure to head on over to Tucker Up tomorrow to see what Kaylin is stirrin' up!

Now for a little about the goober in the glasses.

I live in the North Dallas area with my hunky hubby and our two furbabies, Wrigley and Bailey. I work in the corporate world by day and am a blogger and graduate student by night. I became Mrs. Tucker last June and a first-time homeowner last April. My life has been crazy-fun ever since! I adore fashion BUT this year my New Year's Resolution is NO CLOTHES, SHOES, OR ACCESSORY purchases for A YEAR.

You can read all about my resolution and the reasoning behind it {here}.

Every Wednesday I feature an outfit for WIWW {What I Wore Wednesday}. This Wednesday's outfit is special because my awesome blogger friend, Maddie, sent me a BOX of old clothes after she heard about my resolution. Score! In the box was this adorable checkered jacket that I can't get enough of.

Isn't the jacket adorbs?! My expression on-the-other-hand, weirdo. What am I smiling at? Oh, it must be my silly husband trying to stage a photoshoot in our backyard. Yup, that's it. He is a hoot.

And here are my photo-bombers. They are camera hogs dogs, deluxe. If you follow me on IG {@sarahtuckerup} you will find hundreds of pictures of these two mutts. They are my worldddd.

And one last awkward photo to cap off this wonderful Wednesday!

As you can see I am just a normal 'ol girl trying to take some backyard pics for a blog post. I sure hope you will head on over to Tucker Up and see what the fuss is all about. My posts may not always be pretty, but I am always keepin' it real :)

Thanks, Kaylin, for having me over!
