Dear Kate Spade,
Thanks for the cute phone covers. I love my new one!!! And only $7 on Amazon!

Dear Highlights,
How did you grow out so fast??? Two words. No. Bueno.

Dear Homemade Jamba Juice,
You were simply delicious. I might need to work on my portion size. 32 ounces was a tad much!!!
Dear Safeway Gas,
I just filled my entire tank for $50. I love that club card discount, and the four households (mine, brothers, parents, and family friend) that use the same number (parents) because I reap all the gas rewards!!!!

Dear Mom,
I was just thinking of the years when we didn't get along so hot. That was so long ago, and boy have rimes changed. Thanks for sticking it out with me. I appreciate the friendship we have now.  You are so helpful!!!  Your patience was worth it!!!!

Dear September?

Recents & What I Wore

First a quick what I wore.
I really couldn't think of anything, so I pulled three things I hadn't worn in a while and put them all together.
 Hodge-Podge style.
Not all that pleased, but days like this happen.
A thick belt would have added some good flare completed the look.

Wedges//Jessica Simpson via TJ Maxx

Life via iPhone:

Zoey made a new friend this weekend, Olivia.
She's probably the calmest, cutest one year old I know.
She was fearless of Zoey, but based on her dog petty skills, they are soon to be best friends!

Easily the best Vanilla Latte I have ever had.
Congratulations Pete's, you might have made me a believer!!!

Contrary to my Pete's comment above, Starbizzle accompanied me, and my boyfriend to Home Depot where we proceeded to fill a cart with items we didn't need knew we'd use at some point in time.
The list is wildly exciting:
Clorox Toilet Bowl Tablets
Wood Floor Cleaner
Lifetime Supply of Light bulbs
(Where does one store these?)
Hose Handle
Indoor Plants
Decorative Pots
Lawn Patch Grower
Seedlings get the idea...

This is what I put together for the kitchen.
Who knew Home Depot could be so decorative??

And who was the cookie Monster who stole the cookie?
My boyfriend.
A couple of weekends ago after I baked chocolate chip cookies he said,
"Banana chocolate cookies would be good"
So what do I, the perfect girlfriend, do??
Find a recipe, and bake.
Banana, Nutella, Oatmeal cookies.
They were a hit.
Found the recipe here.
Give it a try!!

Happy Wednesday Folks!!!
Do the humpty hump

What I Wore: Oops, I did it again

Oops, I did it again! (goodness that is such a great song)
No I didn't rock a red, skin tight, body suit, I bought ANOTHER pair of jeggings.
This is getting bad.

Clearly I have a love, passion, obsession with the Express jegging.
Remember when I wore them and wrote about them here, here, here, here, and here.

Well I am writing about them again, right here, right now.
This time, I welcomed a plumb color into my life.
I know it's hard to see in the picture, but they are a fabulous purple shade!!!

I rocked them as a late summer outfit, but am thinking they will make a nice transition into fall (read: plumb jeggings, camel sweater, scarf and boots, etc, etc.)

Shirt//Banana Republic
Shoes//TJ Maxx

Anyways this is probably the busiest week of the year at work.
I will end up clocking about 30 hours in two days....yikes that looks WAY worse in writing.

Anyone have a miracle cream for bags under the eyes??? I may need it.

And just one last thing to leave you with.
A Zoey pic- it's hard publish a post without one ;)
 We were playing peek-a-boo.

Puppies Plural

So I'm guessing you remember when Zoey arrived!! (here
It was probably the happiest day of 2102.

And I am sure you know that there was a BiG wedding!!! (you might have seen my phones wedding memories here) Which was anther very special day this year.

Well there is yet another special day to report. You probably saw the teaser (here) on Thursday- when I told you our grew!!

I wasn't kidding.

As a surprise the newlyweds were greeted with a Golden Retriever pup angel.

And when I surprise, I mean surprise. It was not something that was even on the table as a possibility. Their faces were priceless when the little fur ball was out on their laps!!!

This little golden was one of two females in the litter- SO naturally my boyfriends parents needed one too!!!! Double trouble much???

Then we couldn't be the only three households with puppies. So the cousins got a 8 week old yellow lab!!!

Here are a few shots from the puppy play date!!

So on Wednesday we had four puppies (2 female goldens, 1 yellow lab, and Zoey) in the backyard running around!!!

Probably the cutest thing I have ever seen. And because we're all family, and because we all live close, and because we all have puppies, they are going to grow up as best friends!!!!

How fun will four pups be???

Hope you all have a fabulous Weekend!!!

And one last thing, this is what We like to call our "Mommy and Me" group!!

Friday Letters

Dear Kara,
Happy 30th Birthday.  I hope I have a cake as sparkly and fabulous when I am the thirty, fabulous, and thriving (name that movie). I'm happy I could be there with you!!!

Dear White Jeans,
You always find a way to make it on the blog. Sneaky, sneaky.

Dear 70 hour Work Week Ahead,
I'm so ready for you to come and go with no problems.  Please do as I say.  And note to self: Proceed with Caution!!!

Dear Mid Twenties,
I am so not ready for you. I liked being early twenties.  Birthday, I can't believe you're about to come around again.  How do you always sneak up on me???

Dear Zoey,
If you had a former life, you would have been a fish.  Who knew a dog could love the water as much as you do?  One habit I could live without is peeing in the pool.

Dear Group Dealz,
This is such a cute necklace. Why did Lily have to introduce me to your cute, thirty, and fun world (here)?  Do I really need another enticing email flooding my inbox? The coral color would be the one I'd choose.  Is this what one would call a mini bauble??

Dear Quakers Maple and Brown Sugar Oatmeal,
No other flavor compares. End of Story.

Dear Fall,
I'm ready. Let's go. Bring it!!!

Dear Pumpkin Spice Latte,
You are my weakness. I really hope that I can attempt to contain myself when you arrive.  I wish they made you in a 'light' version.  Unfortunately they don't :(

Happy Friday :)

What I Wore: Repeat Edition

Yup I put those white pants back to use.
And repeated the white/green combo you all saw here.
It was a comfy day, for sure.

Necklace//JCrew via eBay

Also just to let you all know our little puppy family grew (no we didn't get another puppy, but our family did), and you'll be seeing LOTS more of it soon!!!

Here's a little teaser for you :)
Let's just say Zoey has a THREE new friends!!!

It's Thursday People,
Where did this week go???

Me, Myself, and I - part 2

Here's my second Me, Myself, and I link up.
Remember the first one here???

My Beautiful, Crazy Life

1. What would you attempt to do if you knew you could not fail?
If I could do one thing and not fail I'd probably be an independent event planner, and no I would not do weddings. I'd love to plan large events, and in being the mountains would be ideal- read corporate event planner for Vail mountain resort. Working to improve client relations and show people what's up with the 'wow actor'. To me the mountains bring peace and it would be sooo fun to have a job like that up there.
How stressful would this life be??

2. If you had only six months left to live, what would you do with the time?
If I only has six more months I'd spend Every minute traveling. Three months if be skiing and the other three months I'd be some place on a beach with a cocktail in my hand. Wait scratch that cocktail in hand- cocktail on the table next to my lounge chair.

3. If a front page news article was written on you, what would the headline be?
A headline would probably read local girl dies in snow storm, or local girl dies from over analyzing. I have been known to drive to and from the mountains in the worst of storms. And second- I can over analyze ANYTHING. Yup just ask my boyfriend- he's pretty much the master at dealing with, oh I meant understanding it. If someone does anything as small as blink, I can spend hours thinking about it. And vise versa - I can spend hours thinking about, fretting, and replaying something I did or said, and worry about it WAYY too much!!!

I drove through the storm that brought all this snow!!

4. What is your biggest pet peeve?
My biggest pet peeve is probably cracking knuckles. I hate the noise, and pretty much everything about it. I sometimes have to plug my ears and hum to avoid hearing it.

5. What is your favorite chick flick movie?
Favorite chick flick is a tie between:
Sweet Home Alabama, Miss Congenitally, The Notebook, and Dear John. Don't even ask me to choose one because I really would not be able too.

That's it for today folks.
But one last thing.

Isn't Sweet Home Alabama still such a great movie even though it's alreayd TEN years old???
Can you believe that????

Pinteresting (Short and Sweet)

I spent some time pinteresting this weekend.
Here are some of my goodies! (I say that as if I owe them)

Rather, here are some things I admired.

I am not one for dainty jewelry, but this dainty number was just too cute!!!

This combo got me too!!!
It would look really good on my wrist, don't cha think?

And let's be real. Once a Deegee, the love for the anchor NEVER dies.
Get on my ear balls (ears) now.

It's SHORT and SWEET today folks.

Lots and Lots to do.
August is ALWAYS just so BUSY!!!!

You found anything lovely on pinterest recently?

What I Wore: Maxi Madness

I totally resisted the maxi for as long as I could, but much like most fashion trends, I finally caved.

They are so comfortable, cute, and easy to wear.

Bottom line- I want more (please read in the littler mermaid song tone)

Every maxi I have is from Target!
I have three skirts, and a dress.

This is what I came up with this time!!!

Maxi//Target $17.99
Shirt//F21 $6.50
Necklace//F21 $7.50
Earrings//F21 $3.80
Watch//Michael Kors
Sandals//Target circa 2011

Hope you are on the Maxi boat with me. And if your still resisting (like I was three months ago), stop and go to target now!!!!

The (Horizontal) Weekend

This weekend was pretty darn lazy.
But when life is go, go, go - sometimes that's what I need.

We went out dancing in Friday, and this lovely picture was taken in cab ride home. We're precious and attractive are we not????

The only two hours I was productive on Saturday were spent chasing items down. It made me feel ├╝ber domestic.

Pier One:
$115 worth of candles and accessories.
This store might be the death of me
But we have some nice smelly things in our house now, so it was worth it.

Bed Bath and Beyond:
Tissue box covers
Chip clips
(insert sarcastic comment here) sadly I've been searching for both these guys for a while.

All things bathroom related.
Shaving Cream: I might finally have some smooth legs

Tinted Moisturizer
I am trying this new one by Laura Mercier- it was recommended by the lady as a 'top seller'. I have never heard of this brand (my actual thought was, is this for old people?) but I figured I'd give it a try. I was using Kiehls and Cargo (not carried at Nordstrom or Sephora) previously- so I am not committed to one brand in particular.

Bourne Legacy-
I thought it was great!
My charming boyfriend (pictured above) thought it was a bit slow, but I really enjoyed it!!!

And when I wasn't at the movies or running my errands, I was horizontal on the bed watching TV. reading, and letting Zoey girl break all the rules by sleepin' on the bed!!

Hope your weekend was awesome.
Because mine was just what I needed!!!

I need advice from all of you.
Yes of No on this shirt???

I am thinking it would be super cute for fall
Let me know what you think in a comment!!!

Dear Target,
Thanks for this on sale skirt $10.08, yes please!! And see that Bauble Necklace???

Dear Emily Giffin,
I LOVE every single book you write.  Thank you.

Dear Back Yard Fire Place,
Awesome. Is all I have to say. This is going to be SO much fun for family, friends, BBQ, etc.  I can't wait to share you with others for many more years to come.

Happy Friday All, Hope the Weekend Holds Some Fun Plans!!!

My Zoey Girl: A Pup Update

So we got Zoey a little over two months ago,  and I can't even image what life was life before her.

Remember when I announced her arrival, here?

She's learning so much, and ALWAYS testing our patience.
She's found her voice, in both whine and bark form, and is learning new ways to be 'in control' every day.

She makes me smile.  And to hear her padded footsteps swaggering excitedly across the wood floor to greet and kiss me when I get home is just adorable.

Zoey is a dramatic dog (image that) who can over exaggerate ANYTHING.
She's and adorable puppy that makes the cutest grunting noises when getting up the in morning or waking up for her 18th nap of the day.

She's ALMOST potty trained .... Wahoo. (Note: To all future puppy owners, wood floors will save your life with this endeavour)

Granted I still get the occasional look (that if Dogs could talk would say) Mom I'm really sorry, I just couldn't hold it, and I was having so much that I didn't want to bother you and make you get up and open the back door.

But it's okay, because all in all she is pretty darned good.

Well here is how much she has grown since she joined completed our family:

This is her today. See those marks on her face.  That's her dramatic side coming out: She hates her gentle leader soooo much she scratched at it until she made herself bleed.  It made me feel like a bad parent, but the trainer said they'll go away soon.  She also said she's never seen a dog do that...Awesome, Our dog is a one of a kind!!!
