And then my Entire Wardrobe Jumped in my Suitcase

I'm not sure if I mentioned it, but I am heading to Chicago tomorrow for a Bachelorette party (to celebrate the one in the middle). And you know I'm spending a solid 56 hours there, and somehow my entire wardrobe jumped into my suitcase.  Just how many dresses and shoes can a girl wear in that time frame?  I guess we'll find out. Also packing college dresses and 5 inch heels make me both  anxious makes me nostalgic, as if I haven't mentioned that before.

The Nordstrom Semi Annual is happening right now, need I say more???
What did you buy? I know Andrea just got her orders in!!!

Vinyasa yoga is MUCH harder than I ever thought? Seriously I think I sweat just as much in Vinyasa as I did in Bikram.  Like how the eff do people do this on the daily?

I just made these (the curtains for those of you wondering what 'these' was referencing) this weekend. I was going to post pictures of each step, but I followed the instructions in this link exactly, so there was really no need.  Not to shabby for $41 of fabric.  Crate and Barrel ain't got nothin' on me, now if only our couch were here, oh the excitement of adult life.
Insert awesome couch here!!!

Been tempted by Stitch Fix recently, can't decided if I should go for it, or continue to style myself.
Any recommendations? Positives, negatives? I'd really like to know about how many items you (all you stitch fixers out there) buy every month, and if you find yourself wearing said item(s)?

I'm more nostalgic than I thought, two posts this weekend with pictures of me with long hair?

Also while I'm gone dancing in Chicago this weekend, my boyfriend, his Dad, brother, and family friend will be rebuilding our back deck, but if you followed me on instagram you'd already know this. Did I pick an awesome weekend to be gone or what?

SPD: Heatlhy Breakfast Smoothie

If you knew me, you'd know that this is what I eat every morning.
Like really since weight watchers (yes I did that)
I have loved fried egg on toast.
(I learned this from Weight Watchers)

I pinned this smoothie the other day, thinking maybe I'd like it.
I tried it before a day on the ski slopes, and I LOVE it!!!
It's super delicious, filling, and healthy.
See the ingredients below:
This is apparently the smoothie Jessica Simpson used to loose all of her baby weight.
But I guess it's hard to say how successful it was for her since she knocked up again.
Gosh she is bangin' those out.
 1/2 Cup Oats
1 Apple
1 Banana
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 Cup milk
3/4 Cup Plain Greek Yogurt
5 almonds (not pictured, I omitted them)
I always put the apples in first, to ensure it gets all the chunks smoothed out.
The oats add some more substance to the smoothie that helps make you feel full longer.
clearly, I add a little more cinnamon than the 'recipe' called for.
Pictures of smoothies are just not all the special.
It looks like goop piled in a cup, so I didn't include one.
But I promise, it's delicious!!
Thanks again for such a fun link up!!!

SPD: Burlap Wreath

I saw this wreath and NEEDED it.
How welcomed would you feel if that was hanging on someone's door?

So, off to Michaels I went,
I case you haven't read this post, I've been there A LOT recently.

This wreath frame was $4.99
And this burlap was $5.99
Secure the burlap with crafting wire.
There was truly no specific technique I used, simply bunch, and secure.
(side note: there is more burlap in the pack than you think)
Once I was done bunching and securing, I looped all the excess around the entire wreath.
This was the final burlap wrapping product.
I bought these decorate balls on super sale way back when (here).
Similar balls available here.
I haven't used them for anything, and they came in handy for this project.
Secure balls on to wreath with SERIOUS amounts of hot glue.
Don't be shy ladies, you'd rather have the balls super secure, than falling off.
I'm a REALLY good photographer.
Can't you tell???
Now bow and arrange ribbon.
Secure with wire and hot glue (whichever works better for you).
and there you have it..
Not quite as ornate, but a simple addition to warm up the front door.
And welcome all our guests.

Anyone else tried a burlap wreath?
Any tips?
I'd love to see what you have done.

Heart On the Wall

I saw this on pinterest.

And immediately thought to myself, "Michaels anyone???"
So I went, and $57 dollars later, I came out with the supplies with this craft, and three others!!!

Insert Saw It, Pinned It, Did It here.
Love this link up from Keep Calm and Carry On

Here's my version of what I saw
 With a SMALL twist.
Step by Step.

1. Tape canvas to make stripes
 2. Paint the stripes
(you might need two coats, I did two just for safety)
 3. Let dry and remove the tape
4. Get buttons ready for design
 5. Arrange buttons & start to glue (I used Jewel-It that I had from other crafts)
 6. Let it dry, and viola.

I think the next time I will do one more similar to the one on pinterest,
but for a first time canvas craft-er, I'll take it.

It you get this as a gift sometime in the near future, don't be surprised...

And all I have to say is

Saw It
Pinned It
Did It

Boo-yah!!!

Oh and Michaels, I'm coming back this weekend

Happy Thursday!!!
