Excuses for Things I Own in Excess

 We all do it.

And by it, I mean all us ladies have a zillion 'things' of the same 'thing'.

Get what I am sayin' here.

Lip Gloss, Lip Stick, Lip Stain
I consistently carry 10-15 15-20 in my purse (read there is an entire make up bag dedicated to 'lip gear') and I only use two on the daily. Why - I'm not even sure, so don't ask.

Leopard Undies

 I am a firm believer that every outfit needs some leopard, 

even if its the super sneaky Lacey Victoria secret kind...

I have 30 pairs with leopard print, okay enough about my undies.

Essie Nail Polish

 I mean I paint my nails myself 20-40 times a year I definitely need 

20+ colors to choose from right???

Especially when I get gel manicures too, perfect, that's what I thought, they are necessary.

Basic Target Tanks

 I swear when they go on sale for $5 (which happens all the time) I buy 3-4. This does not help me save money there. So now I have 15, four of which are white. In my defense
I wear them all year long, so they are justified.

Right???

Hair products

I'm no hair expert (although I do rock third day hair like a champ) but I do have my fair share of products. Basically for all the Target purchase Loreal, Pantene, and Herbal Essence products I have, I could own three to four awesome products that actually work, and that I actually use. 

Just sayin'.

 Also this GIF sums up how I feel ever single day. I wish I were better at hair!

or so my boyfriend would say, but we all know a girl can't ever have too many pairs so I am crossing this one off the list.

College Tees

I can't bring myself to get rid of them. I just can't. Plus I sleep in them, lounge in them, and work out on them. So it's totally worth keeping all 32 of them right? 

What's that, you told me to keep 'em, problem solved!

What I Wore: Beautiful Nail Edition

My first manicure, ever, was this past year.

Remember when I wrote about it here???

Well I have since fallen in love with this self indulgent pampering, 

but realize I can't do it ALL the time.

After a few, my nails get a bit tattered, and it's money I don't NEED to spend.

So when browsing Target the other day, I was attracted to these little friends.
Essie Nail Stickers

I've heard about them, and wondered just how well they work.

I bought the ones you see on the left (with the sparkles), and did a 'test set' of nails.

And as silly as I thought it sounded, you literally stick these bad boys on.

It's not my best effort.

I'm new to this whole process, but I will say, it's much easier than painting.

And, it looks pretty darn good!!!

Overall I am very happy with them. 

They still look like they did on day on one on day three, which is more than I can say

 about my self manicure efforts; they are chipped without a doubt by day two in the first ten hours.

They are a smidge pricey, $9 for a set, but it beats the price of a manicure.

I would say they are worth trying.

Especially for a specials events, parties, or celebrations.

Lists & Manicures

A girls first manicure.

It's kind of a big deal for a girl who didn't even paint her nails until she was 23.

I went for it with the gel nail polish - and damn they look good.

So there is a reason people pay someone else to do this.

So my advice to any skeptics is: Gel it Up. 

On another note. 

I have some big news.

I've become a list person.

I know I am a little late to this concept of making lists and crossing things or items off one by one.

But it feels so good and keeps me on track.

I actually feel like its going to save money and increase productivity at the same time simotaneousky (I know big words!!)

This weekend alone I made five lists.

Costco list

Grocery store list

Weekend project list

Need to do for the house this week list

And

Another grocery store list

Take that lists, I'll show you!!!

And the first three are all done!!! 

Now you may be wondering was a manicure (cough and pedicure) on the list???? 

The answer is no.

But it made for a great "reward" for being so productive.

I know that most of us bloggers are 'high achievers' or in fewer words 'doers'.

So you probably all already make lists.

Which makes this post null in void, BUT since I JUST started I thought I would share it with you.

So I woke up on the right side of the bed!!!

Wore my white jeans (remember these guys?) which are a 'go to' favorite

Went to lunch with my Dad- pictured above....I wasn't hungry at all

Monday: True Life

Here's to Monday. 

And what it had in store for me.

True Life:

I went running at 5:15 am (Thanks Steph!), and made it through the day.  Winning!!!

I read for 45minutes BEFORE going in to the office.  That never happens.

If finished my accounting (at work) two days early, what ahead of the game on Monday?

Was on hold for 1/2 hour with my health insurance company.  Terrible. Also SOLVED NO PROBLEMS.

Pastel Heart Attack?
